Well, would you look at that beauty! This glorious mushroom cluster was freshly harvested from one of our community garden spots—and yes, it really was as big as it looks. Absolute fungal royalty.
There’s something pretty magical about seeing mushrooms sprouting up next to the carrots and kale. It’s a reminder that fungi deserve a place in every garden, big or small. They’re low-effort, high-impact, and they thrive even when Manchester’s weather is doing... whatever it’s doing (is that rain, sun, or both?).
At Fungall, we’re always banging the drum for mushrooms—not just because they’re tasty and fun to grow, but because they’re powerful little players in the fight for food justice. In underserved areas, every extra bit of nutrition, every new way to grow food, and every shared meal counts.
Mushrooms give us all that and more. They’re compact, resilient, and they don’t mind growing in shady corners—kind of like Mancunians, really.
